For generations, young men have left the gates of S. Thomas’ College to make the world their oyster. The year 1993 was no different – and a once raucous but amiable group bade a fond farewell to their alma mater to put to the test in the real world the lessons and skills they had learned together in the classroom and the sports field. In the fullness of time, the yearning to renew the old friendships grew stronger than ever. The Thomian Class of 1993 was thus born. This is their online watering hole, and a bridge across the seas to bring together members who are scattered the world over.

S. Thomas’ College was founded in 1851 by the Rt. Rev. James Chapman, the first Bishop of Colombo at a time when the country - then known as Ceylon - was a British colony. Looking ahead at the monumental task of establishing a  school in Colombo, he wrote in a letter that “education must be the great work for me to look to, to lay the foundation if I can, and leave others to build hereafter.” Indeed, others have, through a century and a half, taken on the noble task. And we are its product.

Irreverent, witty, drab, erudite or matter-of-fact, the content of this website reflects the diversity of our members, but who, in their unity, make the Thomian Class of 1993 unique.
